Our mission is to provide shelter, food, and opportunity to help families experiencing homelessness or financial insecurity achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Our new mission statement reflects that families are not defined by the current situation that they are experiencing. Homelessness is a time period in their lives. Our work / our mission is to help them transition through that period and to achieve their sustainable independence on the other side.  We recognize that we do not do this work alone. Our community partners - congregations, businesses, organizations, and individuals are critical to our work and to the organization. Our partners provide volunteers, meals, supplies, financial support and other supportive services to our families.  We also recognize the work of other non-profit organizations that work with many families, including families that stay at Family Promise of Moore County. We believe that working together is part of the solution to making our community stronger and better for all families.
